UPDATE 11/10/21 2.15pm United kingdom: Ubisoft has informed Eurogamer it is now aware and “investigating” studies from that Significantly Cry 6 disc copies in the United kingdom are Russian variations which simply cannot be upgraded from PS4 to PS5.

“The team is aware of stories that some players are unable to enhance their PlayStation 4 variation of Far Cry 6 to the PlayStation 5 model,” a Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer this afternoon. “We are investigating the problem and will offer an update ASAP.”

As Pearson notes, this isn’t the 1st time this problem has occured. Last December, a flood of problems adopted the British isles launches of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Canine Legion when lovers equally found they could not upgrade bodily PS4 copies from other areas to PS5.
